STRAITREP filings, MPA Singapore validation, VTIS reporting, and piracy risk documentation — in one workflow. Built specifically for the Strait of Malacca's three-authority compliance maze.

Malacca/Singapore Strait workflows can involve multiple authorities, formats, and timing requirements. Confirm the current instructions for the port call and vessel.
Singapore's VTIS, Malaysia's VTS Johor and Port Klang, and Indonesia's VTIS Batam all require separate reports. A voyage may involve separate authority reporting obligations; CanalClear status and workflow boundaries are published on Authorities & Coverage.
STRAITREP participation is mandatory for all vessels over 300 GT under IMO Resolution A.858(20). Vessels towing (combined length over 200m) and all vessels carrying dangerous or polluting cargo must also report — regardless of size. Non-participation triggers port state control scrutiny.
At its narrowest point near Singapore, the Malacca Strait squeezes to 1.7 nautical miles. The Traffic Separation Scheme (TSS) governs vessel movement through this bottleneck — TSS violations carry port state control sanctions and flag state notifications across the region.
The Strait of Malacca remains on the IMB Piracy Reporting Centre watch list. Under ISPS Code obligations, operators must file anti-piracy risk assessments, maintain BMP compliance documentation, and submit voyage plans to ReCAAP ISC — documentation most operators assemble manually per-transit.
CanalClear validates supported STRAITREP and related fields and generates package material for operator review. Direct authority submission remains INTEGRATION PENDING.
Where supported, vessel data can assist package preparation. Operators remain responsible for reviewing fields, reporting obligations, and any required position updates before submission.
Supported MPA and STRAITREP fields can be checked against configured references before the operator follows the current authority workflow. Source: MPA-01
Reminder and reporting features depend on the selected workflow. Confirm current MPA instructions and reporting windows; reminders do not guarantee authority acceptance. Source: MPA-01
ISPS and voyage-planning reference material may inform operator review. CanalClear does not represent generated material as authority acceptance or a substitute for current operator obligations.
Track supported filing records, alerts, and status information in the application. Financial impact and authority outcomes remain external.
Every filing is timestamped and stored. Exported records can support an operator's internal review; they are not proof of authority acceptance.
MPA Singapore OCEANS-X authority integration is INTEGRATION PENDING. CanalClear does not claim registry access or one-click notification submission here; use the current MPA workflow and review the cited source. View MPA-01 →
Three steps to review and prepare a supported workflow.
Add vessels by IMO number. CanalClear pulls existing certificate data, vessel particulars, and prior transit history.
Review pre-populated fields, confirm cargo details, and let the validation engine catch issues before you submit.
Generate the package for operator review. Direct authority submission and authority confirmation remain external.
CanalClear can provide workflow reminders where enabled; confirm current reporting windows with the relevant authority.
